1. JUN. K X TAECYEON INTERVIEW

TWO PEOPLE WORKED TOGETHER FOR THE BONUS TRACK IN THE ALBUM “50 50”. THE RAP PART WAS VERY COOL BUT THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS FOR THIS SONG. HENCE THERE IS DOUBLE WORK FOR BOTH THE COMPOSING AND RECORDING. IT WAS DIFFICULT RIGHT?

Jun. K: it was faster than I thought. Above all, Taecyeon was great. His version was very, very good because of the bass voice and perfect English pronunciation!

Taecyeon: no no, nothing like that. The composer of this track is Jun. K. I only sang a little and did not do much.

Jun. K: no no, both of us did it. Definitely “50 50”.

Taecyeon: skilfully said! (laugh)

YESTERDAY, BOTH OF YOU HAD SOME FREE TIME. WHAT DID YOU DO?

Taecyeon: I went to walk around Shibuya and Harajuku. All around. Even though they are tourist attractions that I go often, but there is a motive this time round.

Jun. K: went to buy something?

Taecyeon: yes, I bought a hat, which is something I like (Safari hat). My mood was really good and I had a happy time walking around. Jun.K, it was right?

Jun. K: yes, it was (laugh)

Taecyeon: I think Jun. K’s body is becoming better these days right?

Jun. K: I guess so~! Actually, I went to Makuhari’s gym, Tokyo’s gym and the hotel’s gym yesterday morning, night and this morning respectively.

THE STAGES OF THE GYM?!

Jun. K: my current obsession. Initially it was said for dieting, but actually it is better to say that it is to keep the body more healthy. Recently, it is a daily routine.

Jun. K: not recently.

Taecyeon: I guess me, don’t have any interest or hobbies. Jun. K is always composing and working out diligently.

Jun. K: really did not go out.

Taecyeon: Currently, I am shooting a drama (Korean Web). To talk about interest, it is more about listening to music. Recently I like 10cm’s, a Korean artiste, music.

DUE TO THE BUSY SCHEDULE OF BOTH PEOPLE, THERE ISN’T ANY MUCH ENTHUSIASM (?). PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE NEXT DATE FOR THE READERS.

Jun. K: Walking on the streets holding hands and not talk. I want this type of date. Within one hour.

Taecyeon: only one hour!? Then isn’t this just a short break between working hours? (laugh)

Jun. K: really? Then looking at the greens and only talking to each other at the same time.

Taecyeon: based on research, when you watch a horror movie during the first date or ride a screaming machine, the pounding of the heart secretes adrenaline, so it will help to have an unforgettable memory of that date. Hence, watching horror movie or riding on the screaming machine helps the opposite party feel my charm.

Jun. K: …… really? What are you talking about?

Taecyeon: talking about trying for the date.

Jun. K: ……seriously?

<Anecdote>

These two, who are the old ones in the group, talked humbly for even more than 3 minutes about how the song “50 50” was made because they did it together. On the other note, their reaction to the strawberry mochi brought by the staff was exactly opposite. “Is it a mochi under the strawberry?” asked by Taecyeon who jumped forward. On the other hand, Jun. K glances at it sideways repeatedly and said “I’ll just enjoy its smell” while he sampled the food through air.

2. NICHKHUN X WOOYOUNG INTERVIEW

USING THE PIANO MELODY TO START OFF THE SONG “KANOJO”, IT IS REALLY A NICE AND SWEET SONG JUST LIKE THE BOTH OF YOU.

Nichkhun: considering about the live performance during the concert, Wooyoung composed this song. This is also counted as a big highlight right?

Wooyoung: once I have inspirations… Nichkhun will play “some things” full of those atmosphere, hence I will also play “those things”.

I REALLY WANT TO SEE “THOSE THINGS”, IT SEEMS TO BE VERY DELIGHTFUL.

Wooyoung: (in Japanese) really? I am happy that you said so. Please look forward to it!

Nichkhun: as we work together this time round, I managed to find out from scratch that we have similar taste on music and performances, and it is really a good thing. However, I am also apologetic to Wooyoung in some areas…

Wooyoung: why?

Nichkhun: I can say that it is Wooyoung himself who thought about everything, from the stage costume to the performance. Wooyoung is also responsible for the coming 2PM’s tour. So I guess he’s designing everyday right?

Wooyoung: yes, even though I am drawing designs every night, but I will always feel “cannot, I have to re-draw!” every morning, then this will repeat.

Nichkhun: it is very difficult right?

Wooyoung: it is not difficult. When there are a few people working on the same thing together, there must be a focus, then the person with that action done will allow others to follow suit, towards the common direction. Nichkhun: even though I don’t know if it is the right person, but I have been listening to his compositions so I trust him (Nichkhun said that and out his hands over Wooyoung’s shoulder at the same time)

Nichkhun: talking about this (laugh), both of us didn’t go out to play recently. I am golfing, Wooyoung is crazy about music and fashion.

Nichkhun: Sure!

EVEN THOUGH BOTH OF YOU ALWAYS CARRY THE FEELING OF BEING SWEET, BUT IF YOU WERE TO HAVE A DATE WITH THE READERS, WHAT KINDS OF PLAN WILL YOU HAVE?

Nichkhun: for example, if she is someone who is always busy with household stuff, it doesn’t mean that I have to bring her out to eat. Instead I will tell her “you will rest today, I will cook”, after which prepare a meal. I will think about the menu, then go for shopping, buy her favourite drink, melon to raw ham, cheese etc. We can catch a movie after the meal. “ Welcome to Nichkhun’s restaurant! (laugh)

Wooyoung: recently I have the chance to drink whiskey, and I was surprised by the taste of it. Tasting it a little, and I would want to study on “at this region, there’s this taste”. For example…… seems like this is from Islay (a place well known for whiskey) that I want to go!

Nichkhun: Wooyoung is a diligent student. I also like such places.

Wooyoung: oh? Ah.. let’s see….. (embarrassed)

<Anecdote>

When Wooyoung gets loss for words, Nichkhun would catch him and say “Was it fun? Was it difficult?”. Because of Nichkhun’s being considerate, Wooyoung’s eyes would brighten and he would bow his head down to him. To express his gratitude to Nichkhun, he handed him strawberry mochi and mini cookies that were brought by the staff. (laughs) They created a brotherly atmosphere from the beginning until the end.

3. JUNHO X CHANSUNG INTERVIEW

HOW IS THE HEART THROBBING SONG “VERSUS” BORN?

Junho: actually I wanted to make a tranquil song. Of all the songs that Chansung has composed, I thought of matching it with modern dance. However I don’t know if he likes it or not…

Chansung: I liked that (laugh)

Junho: I also know that (laugh). This time, I decided the theme and did the lyrics and composing, he did the directing, image and idea. We split our jobs and responsibilities. It was really happy and fun! It feels fresh that we can work together.

Chansung: yes. Work is very hard, but it has become something that didn’t disappoint us.

I AM VERY HAPPY TO SEE YOUR MUSIC WORK. RECENTLY, BOTH OF YOU ARE VERY BUSY IN KOREA BECAUSE OF YOUR DRAMA. BEING AN ACTOR IN THE INDUSTRY.

Chansung: yes, a little (laugh). Since Junho and I are in the same “university” so in between classes we have meetings.

Junho: besides classes, we have homework to do, and other piles of things to do. During that time, we still composed a song. However it was done thanks to Chansung. A popular saying that we have is to practice for the tour. We did a lot of practices, so he said “ah ah, I want to escape. So tired” (laugh), maybe he is too influenced by his drama character, as that is not something that he says all the time. This caused everyone to laugh. However, it is something that all of us can relate right?

YES, IT IS SOMETHING THAT ALL OF US WILL EXPERIENCE AND RELATE.

Junho: as long as we are alive, you know that we have to do something. I know about that and I did that well, but sometimes I felt that what I have said before (about being tired and escaping). Chansung always work perfectly so that is why we felt that it is funny.

Chansung: maybe I have said something strange but the members understand what I am trying to say. I am very thankful for their existence (laugh)

FOR THE READERS, WHAT DO YOU THINK IS A DREAM-LIKE DATE?

Chansung: massage date?

Junho: Chansung’s massage date is very good. Maybe the opposite party will be very happy.

Chansung: what? I don’t do that. We will go to the massage shop together! Due to taking care of family or feeling tired from work. So I want to go to the massage shop together. And after that, we will go to the coffee shop and talk. That will be my date!

Junho: then, my date for a day is to be a housekeeper

THEN CAN YOU DO A LOT? DREAM-LIKE HOUSEKEEPER?

Junho: yes. I will do all. When you need me to cook I will dress in an apron. You can call me.

Chansung: yes yes (showing hands)! Then please massage for me.

Junho: no problem, but it is expensive?

Chansung: someday massage in return. Or massage and a song.

Junho: song is good. But the massaging time must be the same as the song duration (laugh)

<Anecdote>

Maybe it’s the effect of their roles from the drama that they are filming in Korea since Junho was speaking steadily (a lawyer role) while Chansung was out of focus most of the time (an unemployed role) today. Junho watched Chansung eat the pork-cutlet sandwich in just 2 bites and said “Take it slowly!”. When Chansung couldn’t make up his mind on what to drink, Junho said “How about this?” and offered the tea.

<Interview>

―― “GALAXY” is the keyword for the nationwide arena tour which started on April 23rd and also for the 5^th album which was released on April 27th. What’s the meaning behind it?

JH: (in Japanese) Twinkling! Seeing it from the stage, everyone is twinkling…

NK: It’s kind of hard to put it in words.

TY: To sum it up, GALAXY = 銀河 (‘Galaxy’ in Japanese) = twinkling. Junho is trying to say that it’s about what the fans are to us. In addition, when ancient people lost their way, they used the twinkling stars in the galaxy that they see from the night sky as their guide. Just like how this album serves as our guide as well. It also has that meaning. Starting next year, we might not meet everyone with complete member line-up for a while. But if you think back upon this album and tour, we will surely be together.

JH: Exactly! We and everyone share twinkling memories!

―― Since everyone is on the same wavelength, when do you feel the thing called “bonds”?

TY: The moment when we are being taken by the manager then they would say “Let’s go now” (laughs).

JK: When the 6 of us practice together, stand on the stage together.. and just like now, being interviewed together. That’s when I realize “Aah~ Just like what I have thought, we are one.”

JH: When we are laughing together about nothing in particular. That’s when I feel the “bond”. For example, when Chansung would mutter “So annoying…” during the practice for our choreography, all of us would burst out laughing so hard because of it.

Members: Fuu~ (laughs)

NK: We remember that we laughed, but if we try to recall it later, we couldn’t remember what we talked about. During those tiny little things, that’s when I feel that we are connected.

―― Having close friends is really important, isn’t it? Recently, have you gone out together?

TY: I think the last time we gathered was 2 months ago. We were in a steakhouse for 3 hours discussing 2PM’s future.

CS: We talked about a lot of things, but ended up with “Let’s just continue to work very hard.”

NK: In the end, we all just ate steak together (laughs).

―― (laughs) Do you have anything you would want to do together?

JH: (interrupts) Bungee jumping!

JK: I’LL NEVER DO IT!!

JH: Th.. then, I’ll make only you do it!

JK: I’M NOT GOING TO DO IT!!

CS: Enough. I’ll be the one to arrange it so let’s do it.

JK: That is not the problem. The thing I don’t like about bungee jumping is the rope that twines around the leg!

NK: Then let’s play golf! GOLF! GOLF! GOLF!

JK: More than bungee jumping or golf, I want to do skydiving!

JH: That’s a good one! Let’s do that! Then after that is bungee jumping.

NK: Eeehhh~ Golf…..

CS: If we are going to do something together, skindiving (breath-hold diving) would be nice

WY: Skindiving would be great!

TY: I’m fine with anything (laughs) But before anything else, let’s do Wooyoung’s birthday party first. Since we are in Japan on that day, we want it to be grand. Few years ago, he invited around 200 people and held a birthday party in Korea.

JK: Alright! For this year, we are going to rent a stadium!

TY: Uhhmmm.. you don’t have to do it to that extent.

―― Everyone surely loves the members (laughs) Lastly, please express your enthusiasm for the tour and send some messages to your fans.

JH: Treat each concert as if it is the last day. If you think it that way, it will double the fun. Please listen to our album a lot as well.

JK: I know that everyday we go through some difficult stuff but I hope you can have a good time when you go to 2PM’s concert. I want your heart to feel the warmth of the concert. We will do everything we could to relieve your daily exhaustion.

NK: Please have a meal before going. If you eat, you’ll be able to enjoy more.

CS: Hmmmm.. Don’t drink coffee that much.

JK: Even in ordinary days, Chansung seems to be turning completely like his drama role. Please understand his situation

WY: We did everything we could. Let’s all make good memories together!

TY: Wooyoung is in charge of being the producer and stylist for this tour. He was also busy yesterday with the concert preparations even though it was already 11pm. That’s why I’m sure that it’s going to be a great one!
